The first week of class is WITHOUT dogs and is with handlers only.

We will go over class ettiqutte, rules, structure as well as training tools, how we teach different skills, concepts of marker training, molding, communication, relationship, obedience versus behavior, relationship building, how to be successful with class, practice, training integration, etc. This is a time for people to ask questions and hear information without the distraction of dogs present. I don't expect participants to remember everything we go over in this session and there is no pop quiz (or any quiz).

Topics we discuss and work on in the session include, but are not limited to:

Relationship Building

The 5 Main Resources (and how we can use them for behavior)

During class I am always open to questions about behavior or training that hasn't been covered. I may answer the question after class, giving participants the chance to stay and listen if they'd like or to go home.
