Do you offer obedience classes?
At this time I am not currently offering obedience focused classes. (Always check current schedule to see if that has changed).
I am not an obedience oriented trainer, which means that my focus in classes is not on traditional basic obedience, such as sit, down, place bed, heel, stay, come.
While we may work on obedience in sessions, my focus is going to be on relationship between the dog and handler, life with the dog, communication skills, setting boundaries, good behavior (for both the human and the dog), handling and examination, socialization, state of mind/emotional regulation, etc.
I want to make sure that clients aren't using obedience as a way to physically control their dog, but instead as a way to engage with their dog differently.
There may be sessions where obedience is focused on more and there may be sessions where I ask that you do certain challenges with your dogs without the use of any obedience.
